Jadeja was found guilty by the ICC for violation of Code of Conduct 2.2.8 and his 50 percent match fee was deducted and also suspended for a match.

Jadeja has been suspended from the third Test match against Sri Lanka because of his recent negative violation of the code of conduct; his total negative points have been six for the last 24 months

In the absence of Jadeja, Chinnaman Kuldeep Yadav can get a chance in the third Test. Kuldeep Yadav has so far played a Test match, a T20 match and five ODIs in international cricket. In his first Test match in Australia in Dharamsala, Yadav had troubled Australian batsmen very much. They took 4 wickets in the first innings.
